Lipotherme™ Laser Lipolysis

When it comes to losing fat in certain areas, all the dieting and exercise in the world is sometimes not enough. Factors including age, genetics, and hormones may prevent you from achieving the body shape you desire. Lipotherme™ was developed for women and men who have a reasonable body mass index (BMI) yet still have stubborn areas of fat they would like to remove.

Lipotherme™ is a safe, effective, minimally invasive procedure that uses a laser to remove unwanted fat in targeted body zones. In addition, Lipotherme’s™ thermal effect causes the skin to contract, resulting in firmer, smoother skin that further enhances your body shaping goals.

Unlike traditional liposuction, Lipotherme™ laser lipolysis has virtually no downtime. Most patients resume normal activities the day after their procedure.
Treatable body areas include chin, upper and lower abdomen, hips, ankles, knees, love handles, bra lines, upper arms, buttocks, outer thighs, and inner thighs.

Treatment of areas such as the face, hands, neck, or décolleté, not only addresses specific problem areas, but also results in an overall improvement in skin texture, tone, pore size and collateral collagen building.

Treatments are provided in a series of sessions at two-week intervals. Patients can resume normal activities immediately. To maintain long-lasting improvement, follow-up care may include bi-annual maintenance sessions.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels, also known as chemexfoliation or derma-peeling, are used to improve the appearance of the skin. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin, which causes the excess outer layers to be removed. The newly exposed underlying skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled.

Chemical peels are performed on the face, neck or hands. They can be used to:

• Reduce fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth
• Treat wrinkles caused by sun damage, aging and hereditary factors
• Improve the appearance of mild scarring
• Treat certain types of acne
• Reduce age spots, freckles and dark patches due to pregnancy or taking birth control pills (melasma)
• Improve the look and feel of skin that is dull in texture and color

Areas of sun damage, which may contain pre-cancerous lesions that appear as scaly spots, may improve after chemical peeling. Following treatment, new pre-cancerous lesions are less likely to appear.

Generally, fair-skinned and light-haired patients are ideal candidates for chemical peels. Darker skin types may also have good results, depending upon the type of problem being treated.  Treatments are provided in a series of sessions at weekly intervals for three weeks, then every other week for three weeks.

Chemical peels are only offered in combination with microdermabrasion.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal systems use laser light — an intense, pulsating beam of light — to remove unwanted hair. Whether it's on your face, arms, legs or elsewhere, laser hair removal may be an option if you seek long-term results.

The MeDioStar XT by Asclepion offers the ultimate in safe hair reduction technology, even for darker skin types. The high power of the 810nm diode laser allows larger spot sizes and ensures effective treatment down to the deepest follicle, while the laser’s unique double-pulsing technology guarantees preservation of surrounding tissue.

Although laser hair removal doesn't guarantee permanent hair removal, it does extend the "hair-free" period, which can vary from several months to several years. With multiple treatments, long-term hair removal is possible.

Hair color and skin type are the key factors that influence the success of laser hair removal. It is most successful on people with dark hair (brown or black) and light skin. However, it can also be used on people with darker skin types.

Laser Vein Removal

Laser vein removal allows for the treatment of vein disorders using non-invasive, non-surgical technology. The most common vein disorders are spider veins and varicose veins, both of which can be successfully treated with laser vein removal.

Laser vein removal works by delivering brief light pulses to the vein through the skin's surface. They are absorbed by hemoglobin (the substance that gives blood the reddish, purple color) and converted into heat. This heat causes the walls of the vein to collapse which, in turn, stops the blood flow. Once this happens, the vein is slowly absorbed into the body, disappearing from sight.

Our state-of-art MeDioStar XT laser by Asclepion enables the light to reach the target veins under the skin while avoiding the outer skin entirely. The unique cooling pad featured on the MeDioStar laser helps to maximize comfort and protect the outer layers of the skin.
